Communist era Lenin “Five Year Plan” 2 sided banner / flag
Prior to the break-up of the USSR, factories and farms that met or exceeded their five-year plans were awarded handsome silk banners with the crest of the USSR on one side and words of wisdom from Comrade Lenin on the other.  This banner was discovered in a government warehouse in Tbilisi, Georgia in amazing condition.
This banner is made from silk and approximately 6 feet by 3 ½ feet.
The front
displays a large crest of the USSR with the Soviet hammer & sickle insignia positioned across a world globe surrounded by rays of sunlight.  Below that is the famous Communist party slogan, in Russian, “Workers of the World Unite.”
The back
shows Lenin’s profile with the slogan in Russian, “The Communist Party – Making Plans for your Life.”
This huge flag banner is in mint condition, took it out of the package just to photograph.  N
