    Description
    Here is a nice 16th century iron siege pike halberd head in good original condition. The iron surface is dark from age with part of the original handle which can be seen in the photos. The curved part of the head was used for pushing ladders and poles away from the castle walls during a siege. Provenance : it is believed that this rare iron siege pike head was used during the siege of Edinburgh castle in the year 1573. In total measuring 15 inches long and the point measures 2.5 inches long. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland from a gentleman's collection.
