    Here is a nice 16th century pair of iron breast ripper torture tongs (also called spyder torture tongs) in good original condition. The iron surface has a nice smooth dark patina from genuine age. The pinching jaws have a nice shape and tightly open and close. In total measuring 5.5 inches long. Originally from Edinburgh, Scotland from a gentleman's collection of dungeon torture instruments.  From what small amount of research I have done these things can be fairly valuable and certainly interesting.
