    Description
    Here is a nice 16th century iron pike spear head in good original condition. The iron surface has dark areas from age with part of the original handle which can be seen in the photos. Provenance : it is believed that this pike head was used during the siege of Edinburgh castle in the year 1573. Used to defend castles against attacking enemy soldiers and against cavalry attacks. In total measuring 9.8 inches long. The point measures 4.8 inches long.
