    Description

Bank check on the Flemington Bank of Flemington, New Jersey dated 1884 drawn by Hiram Deats to Jewell Belting Co. for .58.      Signed on back Charles L. McIntosh and five bank stamps.  Has RN-G1 revenue imprint which has been stamped, "Stamp Redeemed."   When the two cent revenue was no longer required, they could take it to the internal revenue office and get a refund and that office would stamp the imprint "Stamp Redeemed."  Usually found on bonds on twenty five cent imprints.  Very uncommon on checks.
